I absolutely love the creativity of wellness. Art has always been my passion... and no not necessarily paintings and drawings. I love the abstract, the divine, the miraculous beings that we are... and that no matter what, the flux continues - this means there is always hope.
I LOVE to help people work on their wellness goals because I have never been a rule follower when it comes to creativity.
When I was 5 my art teacher told me to color the sun yellow because the sun is yellow. I told her my mom said I could mix yellow and orange and other colors for the sun... I am pretty sure the conversation ended there, but I could not understand why she thought the sun was just yellow,
At 10, I was fighting for my life and my blood counts were extremely important. My parents bought me some red blood cell pajamas (red and white polka dots) and I wore them each night (washed every morning ;)) My mom would take me through a visualization. We imagined the exact blood count I needed being formed in my bone marrow. Sure enough the blood counts I imagined always matched the blood they tested.
Also during treatment my mom and my aunt explained to me that cancer hated color... it was a belief I held true. I could feel cancer cells dying as I surrounded myself with rainbows and brilliant colors.
Health for me is a journey that involves many people living and beyond. We do not exist in isolation. Even when I was in isolation for 3 months - I still had all the belief systems and support of all those who were in my life. They helped me touch the miraculous time and time again.
Wellness is creative. When I work with a client I feel like I am meeting them at that threshold of the miraculous. What will be there for us... how can we work with it... what are the beliefs that we need?
It is this belief of mine that inspires me to work with and encourage others to pursue their wellness goals... because I know it is all possible. I know that we all embrace the divine and we move into our own strength.
It is so easy to forget this blessing in our daily lives. I found it so much easier to be creative and inspired when I was fighting for my life, but the truth is that this is possible for us every moment. The miraculous is always present.
So to answer my own question. Yes wellness is creative because we are creative souls and our body/minds are all inspired differently. So of course I believe in vitamins, minerals, hydration, nutrition, healing therapies etc. Still, the exciting part for me, is discovering how these modalities work for you. I love helping people reach wellness for themselves. In moving towards their health goals, there is always some mindfulness or awareness that comes forward. It radiates from within.
Therefore, whether you are working on your own self-care or you are meeting with me for a session - welcome the miraculous. You will find many of the answers to your questions are within.
