It is a little embarrassing because this is not a new concept. I have even studied Ayurvedic medicine. Still, I always felt confused when my symptoms overlapped with different doshas - even though that's common.
While I still love Ayurvedic medicine - I realized something else that is equally significant.
You have to listen to your intuition. The more you listen - the more it speaks.
I have POTS. It sounds made up but it's not. It stands for postural orthostatic tachycardia. One thing I know for sure (by listening to my intuition) is that I benefit from cooling foods - especially as the temps rise. It is also helpful for me to eat my water rather than drink it. Celery is my friend.
So whether or not you have symptoms that you struggle with - listening to your body is so important when it comes to your lifestyle/diet.
I love coaching clients because it is an awakening of the soul... not just theirs, mine too. Tapping into intuition gives us so much wisdom for feeling good. And of course you can do this for yourself too.
So if you are trying to navigate the newest health food or wondering how you can find just a little more energy... its right inside your soul.
Listen beyond the mind. What colors do you see in your mind's eye? What element are you (fire, earth, air or water)? Is there a season you struggle with? What reminds you to breathe? What are you looking at when you feel inspired?
Believe it or not, the answers to these questions are significant for your wellness. You already know how to eat healthy for your body, how to exercise for healing, how you like to be creative etc. You may not remember because you have not tuned in for awhile. These are just a few questions that can help you to start listening to the conversations beyond...
